Hello, I remember the Emotionals playing at the Borderline in the early nineties in London. The singer was a very pretty 17 year old blonde girl called Emma. She always looked hot and was very friendly. I have a copy of a fanzine called Zipcode and Emma is on the front cover. They were a great live band.

Hey I worked with the Emotionals back in 94. They were a very decent band. I remember alot of labels trying to sign Emma. After Native records they signed a 3 year deal with Warners. They recorded some great tunes much better than the Native releases. They should have been big but record company politics ruined it. They did get alot of radio play in the States thanks to legendary DJ Rodney Bingenheimer (KROQ Los Angeles). I enjoyed the hearing the mp3 as I'd never heard that tune. Stuff they recorded with me was very commercial. Anyway NICE!!

The Emotionals... wow...

I know Kieron James (drummer) very well. He married a good friend of mine from Gijón, Asturias, in the north coast of Spain back in 1992 if I recall correctly, and I even played bass at their wedding with him on drums and a few other friends!!!

As far I know the Emotionals never regrouped but Pete Maher and Emma Vine I think are still together. You can visit Emma's site at: www.emmavine.com. Note very informative but she is still around...

Thank you for reminding me of this great band. It brings great memories. A pitty their album never made it to digital.

Thank you for mentioning my band The Emotionals. It seems a long time ago as I was very young. Its true that I am still with the ever beautiful Emma Vine. She is the best person I have ever met and she's also a great singer and songwriter. We are currently writing some new tunes and I would say the songs we write today are better.
