Metro trinity, english band from the 80's. They released one 12" called "Die young" in 1987. More information about them here
This "Stupid friends" was released only in a split flexi with the Inspiral Carpets (Debris flexi number 6) and sounds a lot like the more poppy and wonderful songs by the Cure. I love this song, more than the ones in the 12"

'Michael Furey' from the 12" was one of my favourite songs as a teenager in Manchester and I haven't heard it for nearly 20 years! I don't suppose there's any chance of an mp3 download?!
i loved michael furey aswell, especially the way it ended, "michael they're playing our song again, i ain't ever gonna fall in love again", i'd love to hear it again aswell.
